Hello, I'm Lisa

I live and work in Toronto, known as Tkaronto, which sits on the traditional territory of the Mississaugas of the Credit, the Anishinabeg, the Chippewa, the Haudenosaunee, and the Wendat peoples. This land is covered by Treaty 13, signed with the Mississaugas of the Credit, and the Williams Treaties.

My Story

I am a first generation immigrant settler, and I carry that positionality with me into every room I enter and every relationship I build. Knowing where I stand shapes what I see, what I miss, and who I center. Where I come from gives me access in some rooms and leaves gaps in others. It is not a disclaimer, it is the lens I work from, and the thing I return to, especially when the work gets uncomfortable.

My work is centered on equity inside organizations, which means I pay attention to who holds power, who carries the most weight, and what gets in the way of people being fully themselves at work. That includes their well-being. Not wellness as a perk or a program. But the real kind, where people are physically and mentally resourced enough to show up, contribute, and thrive without it costing them everything they have.

Underneath all of it is a commitment to relationship - the hard kind. The kind that asks people to stay present through discomfort, disagreement, and the feelings that most workplaces and organizations ask you to leave at the door.
